We don't do it for the money. We do it for ourselves, to get the music out there.

Regular radio seriously sucks. I only hear anything even remotely interesting on internet radio.

At the least, allow indie bands to live on.

Maureen Brill

Come on, guys!  We need the Internet to level the playing field.  Do you realize many musical careers may never get off the ground or come back to life without the Internet?

When I was in my teens in the mid-Seventies, doing music was literally impossible and cost prohibitive.  Don't return to that era.  I am too glad that we have Macs and iLife and the ability to use a computer to record music like you can in a professional studio for a lot less money.  You defeat the purpose of computers and the Internet if you make fees cost prohibitive.  We would prefer you not have your pockets lined at our expense.  Our lives are complicated enough.

Without internet radio (especially Pandora) my music buying would go down because I would not hear as much new music.  I listen to internet radio to learn about new bands and if I hear something I like, I go out and buy their albums.

It is hard for artists to get out there to wide array of listeners today. So we turn to net radio stations. One of my friends was running out of California but had to shut down. And thats going to kill my profits.

M y music is not heard without internet radio, and i recieve none of the royalties causing internet radio's death, please save our culture

DJ Patrick B

As a DJ and a avid listener of dance music, losing internet radio as a medium to hear music that you can't find on regular radio would be a terrible loss.  Internet radio is my resource to stay up to date with what is out there.

Beth Browne

Due to the awesome avaialability of internet radio I, as an indie artist have been able to reach more listeners!

Altar Hard

Dont take music from the masses or the masses just might take it back

Deborah Bryant

If it wasn't for internet radio my songs "Unfaithful" and "You're Good For Me" wouldn't be where it is today.

Rich Brymer

Hi,
I just wanted to say this.Internet Radio has made it possible for Unknown solo Artist's like myself to be heard.
It give's great pleasure to the listener and of course me as well to have such a oppertunity.
A great thing is being done both for the listener and Artist.
Please keep Internet Radio Alive!!
Thank you for your time.

Peter Dawson Buckland and Sum Of Its Parts

As a "classical" composer and the lead guitarist/vocalist in a band, I love internet radio. It is a venue largely untainted by the profiteering that infects the RIAA and much of commercial radio. Web radio has really enabled the small guys to gain some traction and create a new vigor in the music scenes from hip-hop and metal to art music and jazz. I don't want to see these great venues choked out by CEOs who are lining their pockets on the backs of the rest of us.

I'm in a band in America. We believe in  freedom. Stop censorship now! Does the government have to get their grubby little tax collecting paws on every single buisness in the entire world?

nahara

I love my internet radio.  It allows me to access music that i cannot access anywhere else, and introduces me to musicians that I have not heard of yet.  As a musician, it likewise exposes my music to a broader base of people than I would be able to cover on my own.

Dustin Burke Band

I have a fairly successful local band who has greatly benefited from the impact internet radio has had on our band.

We are a small, independent band from a sleepy corner of Maine. We play a mixture of pastoral, folky, psychedelicate music. Our first national tour wouldn't have been possible without the help of internet radio, and we have sold a lot of records from this kind of exposure. Unless terrestrial radio is going to be subject to the same ridiculous guidelines, this is completely bogus, anti artist  legislation intended to benefit only the most played artists and the biggest record labels.

Net radio is the best thing there is to listen to. It must be protected.

OHMS

We have had our music playd on Internet radio and appreciate the ability to hear other new and fresh bands through this medium with no commercials. Please take action to prevent the death of Internet radio.

Susan Cantey

I am an independent artist and songwriter who appreciates air time on internet radio...even w/o pay!  :-)

Orphus

We are a band and we understand the importance of internet radio in order to expose more people to our music. It's important that internet radio stay alive and well! Please help!!

Fair is Fair...Let it be and dont apply added measures for it really won't effect the other mediums of broadcast.
