03.19.07 Webcasters Decry Proposed Royalty Rates;
Wall Street Journal, Mar 19

Monday, April 16th, at the Radio and Internet Newsletter Las Vegas Summit, the SaveNetRadio coalition officially launched a national campaign to save internet radio. Representatives from the coalition, including artists, labels, listeners, and webcasters, joined together to address the media and announce efforts to reverse a March 2nd decision by the Copyright Royalty Board that would increase the fees webcasters pay to play music online and bankrupt thousands of Net radio stations.

Organizations partnering with the campaign cut across the spectrum of those involved in the industry, including webcasters both large and small, artists, and of course, many of the more than 70 million monthly listeners. The campaign needs your help. Please take a moment to call your Congress member to let your representative know how important Internet radio is to you.
